Creating a Category

CLICK HERE to learn about category.

Step 1: Goto Administrative, Products and select Product Categories.

Step 2: Click on Add Category on the upper right corner of the screen, to add a new category. You can also right click on an existing category to edit its description.

Step 3: Complete the NEW PRODUCT CATEGORY form.

  • Description is the name you wish to call a category.
  • Department is the department to which the category belongs to (you can only select from existing departments, to create one CLICK HERE).
  • Percent Margin is the Markup for all products added into that category (this markup takes a higher priority over the markup of the parent department). Click on Submit when you are done.
